ISAT is located in Nevers, a 2-hour drive south of Paris and close to the famous Nevers / Magny-Cours F1 circuit. ISAT is a faculty of the Université de Bourgogne part of the top 800 of the Shanghai world ranking.

The Institute of Automotive and Transport Engineering (ISAT) in Nevers (France) is a unique state-run school committed to the comprehensive training of engineers, with a particular interest in the automotive sector. The main aim of ISAT is to cover the whole range of positions and skills related to the automotive and transport industries, with a strong expertise in mechanical -  electrical & energy engineering  from design to production: R &D, design & development, industrialisation, manufacturing, quality, purchasing...

ISAT engineering  programmes are accredited by the Commission des Titres d'Ingénieur and  EUR-ACE labeled (European quality label for engineering degree programmes at Bachelor & Master level)

Based on sound scientific and technological foundations, the 5-year programme (Master's Degree) is extended and strengthened by long periods of work experience and placements (totalling over a year) within a strong network of partner-companies.

ISAT is also committed to developing research within its  "DRIVE" research department in vehicle engineering for the environment (composite materials, vibration & acoustics, energy, embedded electronics), as well as in its centre for technology transfer SATT Grand Est located on the Formula-1 circuit.

How to enrol at ISAT ?

* for Erasmus applications (code F DIJON 01) or international exchange programmes with partner-universities ; please register on line at the University of Burgundy

Deadlines:

  • May 31st for the winter semester (September to December)
  • November 15th for the spring semester (January to June)

* for freemovers applications outside an exchange programme: all details available on our International recruitment  page for admissions into 1st, 3rd & 4th year according to the student's academic level.

French level requirements: B2 upper intermediate level. To improve your level in French, French as a foreign language is taught at ISAT (FLE français langue étrangère).
