ISAT hosts a research laboratory named LRMA DRIVE which groups the majority of Lecturers and Professors of the school. The research projects relate to automobile and transportation systems and focus on two main applications :
• Driving comfort and environnement
• Structures and propulsion
The LRMA-DRIVE members are part of the following competence teams :
• Composite materials (Pr Stéphane Fontaine)
• Vibrations & acoustics (Pr Philippe Leclaire)
• Energy Propulsion Electronics and Environment (Pr L Le Moyne)
The research topics relate to experimental as well as numerical simulation.
The research laboratory offers students the opportunity to pursue PhD studies in the laboratory or in an industrial context. The PhD studies include a minimum 3-year financial support.
PhD subjects for 2009 :
• Study of high pressure automobile injectors
• Thermal coupling Stirling/Erickson/Thermoelectric for exhaust gases
• Optimisation power fluxes on hybrid motor propulsion groups
ISAT hosts the research Masters Programme Master (M2) : Mechanics, Materials, Structures, Processes on the following topics :
- Composite materials
- Acoustics and vibration
- Mechanical behaviors
- Experimental methods
- Scientific calculations.
